Benefits of Cheer Classes - Team Building

Team Building - Like all team sports, cheerleading offers more than physical benefits. Sports can help teach kids essential life skills, including teamwork, discipline, and communication. Squad members must rely on each other for the effectiveness of routines, as well as ensuring each other's safety during difficult moves. If competition against other squads is involved, it becomes even more important to work together as a unified front.

Flippin’ Frogs  Ages 18 months up to 3 years

Parent-child interaction is an important part of your little one’s development. And what better way to interact with your child than in a fun, safe, social environment with curriculum designed specifically for growing your whole child. We use gymnastics as a means to teach not only physical skills, but also social, emotional , and intellectual skills targeted toward your child’s stage of development. The activities in our Parent/Tot classes include music and movement, “props” for hand-eye coordination and motor skill development, ball play, bubble play, and free play time for your child to explore. Weekly themes bring awareness to different aspects of your child’s development, so there is learning for all. Come join us, it’s going to be a blast!

TOPs – Talent Opportunity Program – Bronze Level

Ages 3 and 4
The TOPS gymnastics classes provide a safe and fun environment for your little ones to learn fundamental movement skills like running, jumping, landing, swinging, and rotating as well as developing all aspects of fitness including flexibility, muscle strength and endurance, balance, agility, coordination, and more. Beyond the physical, we also strive to develop the “whole child” by teaching social, emotional, and intellectual skills including building self confidence. Get started with fun learning today!

Allusions Dance Team

The Academy West Allusions Dance Team is an award winning competition team. 1st Place awards for teams and solos are won at competitions every season along with specialty and judges’ choice awards such as; Best Precision, Best Sportsmanship, Best Choreography, Most Creative, Best In Show, Best Facials, High Point Teams, and Overall Grand Champions!

The Allusions dancers have auditions every June for team placement starting in July. Team levels are determined by age and by ability in dance styles, technique and tumbling tricks. Because of their hard work and discipline, the Allusions are known for their great technique and precision. Add in interesting choreography from dedicated teachers and you have winning teams!
