Allusions Dance Team

The Academy West Allusions Dance Team is an award winning competition team. 1st Place awards for teams and solos are won at competitions every season along with specialty and judges’ choice awards such as; Best Precision, Best Sportsmanship, Best Choreography, Most Creative, Best In Show, Best Facials, High Point Teams, and Overall Grand Champions!

The Allusions dancers have auditions every June for team placement starting in July. Team levels are determined by age and by ability in dance styles, technique and tumbling tricks. Because of their hard work and discipline, the Allusions are known for their great technique and precision. Add in interesting choreography from dedicated teachers and you have winning teams!

We are so excited about the Benefit Party Night for Sandy Bywater on April 12th! We have already had so much response and support from Academy West students, parents and employees! We have some amazing baskets that have been donated to be raffled off. We also are going to auction off a few of the really great baskets that have been created. This will be a Silent Auction and will start on April 7th. The auction will last all through the week and the winners will be announced around 7:00 pm on April 12th during the benefit party night!

Please sign up in the office for the Benefit Party Night, continue to buy raffle tickets, guessing jar tickets or just cash donations. 100% of the proceeds will go to Sandy Bywater to help her with her fight to overcome this terrible disease!

Tumbling Program

Tumbling provides the building blocks necessary for potential development in gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, soccer, wrestling, etc...

By learning flexibility, balance, strength, and body control your student will be better equipped to safely enjoy and excel in their future athletic endeavors.

Tumbling classes include trampoline and tumbling training from expert certified coaches.

Sandy Bywater

Sandy Bywater, one of our favorite staff members, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is an amazing employee who has been working in the Academy West office for years.  Sandy is married and has two beautiful daughters.  Sandy has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments in preparing for her upcoming surgery.  We are asking you to join together with the Academy West staff to help in her fight and beat this cancer.  There are donation jars and raffle items in the office.  Please plan to attend the Party Night/Benefit in her honor on April 12th at Academy West! Please see the upcoming events post on our website and Facebook for more details. All our thoughts and prayers are with you, Sandy!

Dance Program

Our experienced, professional dance instructors provide high-energy, goal-oriented dance instruction in a friendly, supportive environment.

We offer many different types of dance:

Competition teams, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Creative, Pointe, tumbling, and Pilates for dancers.

Gymnastics Program

Academy West Gymnastics began as a backyard operation before officially opening it's doors in 1998 with 50 students. In the last decade it has grown to become an award winning gymnastics program specially tailored to identify and enhance the talents of each individual student.

The coaches are USA Gymnastics and CPR certified and continually train to provide the best educational experience.
